Plugin’s Usage Tracking Policy

By default, plugin developers receive no usage data from WordPress.org whatsoever. This is great because, in the spirit of WordPress & open-source in general, it means people have complete control of their data.

That being said, it also means that GSheetConnector has no information regarding how people interact with the plugin, or identify common situations in which issues may arise when using GSheetConnector unless they let us know through one of our support channels.

This valuable feedback is key to making informed decisions that lead to a better user experience, new features, better documentation, and overall a more enjoyable experience.

Account Integration with the GSheetConnector Plugin

Our approach to account integration with the GSheetConnector plugin prioritizes user data security and transparency. We maintain a strict policy of not storing any user data in our own database. Instead, our service facilitates user authentication to their respective accounts, establishes connections with Google Sheets, and manages the storage of contact form submissions.

For the Lite versions of our plugin, we only retain essential data, including the Google Authentication Code, Token, and Expiration data, which is stored securely in the user’s own website database.

In the case of the PRO version, we extend the data storage to include the plugin license key, Google Authentication Code, Token, Expiration data, as well as details about the fetched Google Sheet and its associated Tab names and IDs. All this data is stored within the user’s website database.

As for the Contact Form 7 Google Sheet Connector PRO Plugin, we store any form-attached files in a designated directory named “cf7gsc” on the user’s own website server, typically located at wp-contents/uploads/cf7gsc.

For both Lite and PRO version:

  1.  We are using Google API PHP Client Library for authentication, updated with the latest version of Google API v4
  2. Log Data: Whenever you use our plugin, in case of an error we collect data and information (through above third party products)and store that in log.txt file which you can open via integration tab/page of the plugin.
This Log Data may include information such as PHP version, the time and date of your use of the plugin and errors.
